Round 9 of the Stronger Communities Programme in Cowan has now open!

This initiative, funded by the Australian Government, provides grants to support small capital projects that deliver meaningful social benefits and foster stronger, more vibrant communities.

Key Details of the Programme:

Funding Available: Grants between $2,500 and $20,000 are available to cover up to 100% of eligible project costs for community organisations. (Local governing bodies can receive grants covering up to 50% of project costs)

Eligible Projects: Funding is available for small capital works and expenditure projects that enhance community participation and contribute to thriving, sustainable local environments. The program aims to deliver infrastructure projects that provide meaningful social benefits to local communities by supporting one or more of the following objectives:

• Project Requirements:

  • Deliver social benefits to the local community.
  • Involve capital works or capital expenditure projects.
  • Be located within the Cowan electorate.

• Application Process:
  • Any eligible projects submit an expression of interest to Dr Aly's office.
  • To apply, please complete the expression of interest form by no later than 5.00 pm AWST, Friday 14 March  2025.
