Planting Trees for The Queen's Jubilee Program

Planting Trees for The Queen's Jubilee Program

Expressions of interest for the Planting Trees for The Queen's Jubilee Program are now closed. Nominees have been contacted.

To commemorate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee year, up to $100,000 of Commonwealth funding has been made available in Cowan under the Planting Trees for the Queen's Jubilee Program.

Community organisations including schools, local governments and not-for-profits can all receive funding to plant trees in recognition of this event. If nominated, eligible organisations can receive a grant of between $2,500 and $20,000.

This program is intended to:

  • increase community awareness and celebration of Her Majesty's Jubilee
  • create a legacy of tree plantings across Australia honoring The Queen and her 70 years of service
  • increase or enhance the areas of tree canopy.
