The Albanese Labor Government remains committed to easing cost-of-living pressures for seniors. Key initiatives include:

  • Expanded eligibility for the Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
  • Reduced costs for prescription medicines
  • Enhanced access to healthcare through strengthened Medicare and the establishment of Medicare Urgent Care Clinics in Cowan, including Mirrabooka

These clinics offer bulk-billed services close to home—simply bring your Medicare card.

The Government is also continuing to reform aged care to ensure older Australians receive dignified, safe, and respectful treatment.
