Stronger Communities Programme - Round 7

Expressions of interest for Round 7 of the Stronger Communities Programme in Cowan are now closed.

Up to $150,000 of Commonwealth funding is available in Cowan under Round 7 of the Stronger Communities Programme! This funding is for small capital projects which improve community participation, and contribute to the vibrancy and viability of our northern suburbs.

If nominated, eligible organisations can receive a grant of between $2,500 and $20,000 for a project. With the exception of local government bodies (which must match Stronger Communities funding with funding from other sources), applicants can fund up to 100% of the total project cost from a Stronger Communities grant.

First stage: expressions of interest

14 October - 22 November 2021

Take a look at the Programme’s fact sheet and guidelines to see if your organisation qualifies! Any eligible organisation in Cowan can submit an expression of interest to Dr Aly's office.

Please complete the expression of interest form and return it via email by no later than 5.00 pm AWST, Monday 22 November 2021. Make sure to read the grant guidelines thoroughly before submitting.

Second stage: applications with the Department

December 2021 - 19 January 2022

If approved by the consultation committee (made up of Dr Aly and local community members), organisations will receive an invitation in early December 2021 to apply for funding directly with the Department. These applications to the Department must be completed by 2.00 pm AWST, Wednesday 19 January 2022.
